Jeri Marcuvitz

Milwaukee native Jeri Marcuvitz of Bayside, died Dec. 30. She was 50.

A graduate of Nicolet High School in 1973, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1977, she earned an M.A. in early childhood exceptional education at Cardinal Stritch University in 1994. She was employed as an admission coordinator at St. Francis Children’s Center.

She was a member of Beth El Ner Tamid Synagogue, the Council of Exceptional Children and the National Association for the Education of Young Children. She also served on her local school board.

She is survived by daughter Sarah Lerner of Grafton; son Mark Lerner and parents Rita and Alan Marcuvitz, all of Bayside; brothers Robert Marcuvitz of Whitefish, Mont. and Sheldon (Carol Laity) Marcuvitz of Canby, Ore.; sister Michele (Joseph) Ellner of Bayside; and grandmother Sylvia Luber of Fox Point.

Rabbi Gideon Goldenholz officiated at funeral services at Beth El Ner Tamid Synagogue, Jan. 2. Burial was in Mound Zion Cemetery.

Memorials to St. Francis Children’s Center would be appreciated by the family.
