Brooks C. Bellinger 60, of Mount Dora, Florida, passed away on January 11, 2016. He was born in Albany, New York and worked in all phases of the restaurant business. Brooks moved here from Orlando in 2015. He worked in all phases of the restaurant industry including management and as a chef, he was a Christian and was a ski instructor. Brooks is survived by his father Robert Bellinger and his wife Peggy, of Mount Dora his siblings, Lisa Reineck of Altamonte Springs and David Bellinger of Tampa. Services are private, the final resting place will be Lakeside Memory Gardens, Eustis.

I was saddened to learn of Brook's passing today. As a classmate, I remember Brooks as being quite cogenial, kind, a tad shy - but a real pleasure to know. My heartfelt sentiments to Brook's family, friends and anyone else blessed to have Brooks in their lives.

I am saddened to learn of Brooks passing yesterday. While it was in high school that I knew Brooks, I still remember him all these years later as a shy, but kind and gentlemanly person. It was a pleasure to have known him!

I have nothing but good memories of Brooks from the first time I met him in the sixth grade after we both had moved to Bayside from out of state. Plenty of tennis, and basketball games through high school and of course all those trips to ski at Little Switzerlad in Slinger. We were roommates at Madison our freshman year and joined Hoofers to get our ski instructor certification in the hopes of meeting girls and getting paid to ski. Brooks was an easy going, and very friendly guy and I was proud to call him a friend. He will be missed.
