In MEMORY

Stewart Konnor

Passed away on August 5, 2017, at the age of 62.  Beloved son of Paul and Doris Konnor.  Loving brother of Paula, Chris (Laurie) and Clay Konnor.  Cherished uncle of Chesney, Alexandra and Eliza Jorn; Claire Konnor; and Chloe and Ethan Konnor.  Further survived by other relatives and friends.

Stewart’s life was marked by his deep love for his family and friends.  Stewart was enamored with his role as “big brother” to his siblings, looking out for them and nurturing them in sports and other endeavors.  He loved spending time with his cousins and forged strong and special relationships with his aunts and uncles.  When nieces and a nephew came along, Stewart cherished his role as “Uncle Stew” to them, relishing the time he was able to spend with them.

Anyone who knew Stewart, knew he was a master conversationalist.  He loved nothing more than engaging talks with family members, friends and acquaintances.  Usual topics of conversation with Stewart were music, movies, sports, events in the lives of family and friends, politics, nostalgia and faith.

Stewart courageously overcame a serious burn injury in his youth and other subsequent health challenges.  Through it all, Stewart maintained his insuppressible sense of humor and an optimistic outlook.  His courageous optimism, wistful smile and kind eyes have left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate to know him.

Family will greet friends on Sunday, August 20 from 1:30 to 2:30 PM at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Chapel of the Chimes, 13235 W. Capitol Dr., Brookfield, WI 53005.  A service celebrating Stewart’s life will take place immediately following at 2:30 PM.  Interment will be private for the family.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in Stewart’s name may be made to Camp Awana, Financial Assistance Fund, c/o Latham Christian Camping, 3859 N. Central Ave., Chicago, IL  60634.
