"Frank Wolf was among the few pioneers of Nicolet High School Athletics and perhaps the most influential. Mr. Wolf came to Nicolet High School in 1961 and held several positions within the school until his retirement in 1997. He coached Football, Basketball and Baseball during his tenure at Nicolet. Frank taught in the business education department and served as the chairperson in the Career Education & Physical Education Departments. Among his other duties, Frank was an Assistant Principal, Business Administrator and oversaw all Nicolet Athletics as the Athletic Director. When Nicolet High School competed in the Braveland Conference, Mr. Wolf was elected and served as President of the Conference. He also served as the President of the North Shore Conference when Nicolet switched conferences. Frank served a four year term in the Wisconsin Athletic Director Association (WADA) as Vice President, President Elect, President and Past President. During this time, he worked closely with the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) and with the WIAA Board of Control. In 1991, Mr. Wolf was voted WIAA Athletic Director of the Year” for District 7. In addition to all of his service on boards and committees spanning four decades, Frank Wolf was a huge supporter of Nicolet Athletics. He championed for coaches and athletes and was instrumental in a successful legacy of athletic excellence at Nicolet High School."
