In MEMORY

Jeff Tryba

Jeff fell off a ladder while installing a window, hit his head on impact and broke three ribs. One rib went threw his spleen, another went threw his aorta. He was a heart patient and not clear if  he was having a heart seizure or attack.

Jeff was 65 years old. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 43 years Bebe (Bartlein) Tryba; son Christopher (Emily) Tryba and their sons Reid and Henry; daughter Lisa (Jeremy) Wenzlick and their daughters Taylor, Erin and Ryleigh; sister Carol Tryba and brother Wayne (Pam) Tryba. Jeff is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and wonderful friends and loving family members. Friends and family meant the world to Jeff. He is preceded in death by his parents Al and Rose Tryba.

Jeff was born April 27, 1955. Jeff and Bebe have been best friends since they were teenagers, although Jeff had secretly been in love with Bebe since the day that they met.

Jeff was a board member and active archer of the Newburg Sportsmen’s Club, a skilled craftsman and enjoyed gardening in his free time. In his many years, he enjoyed bowling, softball, coaching, hunting and fishing. Jeff has always been a hardworking man.

Jeff took pride in sharing his many passions with all of his grandchildren and was especially excited as his grandkids also became interested in archery.

His body was cremated. Please refer to the Mueller Funeral Home for information on a memorial ceremony for Jeff to be held  on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Newburg Sportsmen’s Club (West Bend).

I remember meeting Jeff when we had the floods (2010) that inundated the whole area including Nicolet. Jeff was the maintenance manager for the old Barrett Office complex on Port Rd. just north of Bender by the water tower & south of the railroad trestle. The complex was razed 3 yrs. ago. Anyway, the water buildup in the back parking lot was slidding down the garage ramp and flooded the basement - to the point that it had reached the breaker boxes. I had ventured to the back and saw Jeff standing, knee deep in the water assessing all of the damage. I introduced myself and we chatted - then when Jeff mentioned who he was, that name clicked right away. Even in this pathetic mess of flooded basement groundwater, I remember Jeff to be quite jovial and laid back about the abyss. I learned that Jeff remained in Glendale after high school, including where he raised his family. He was proud to be raised in Glendale, and to bring a family up. Indeed, Jeff was very meticulous and thorough about every detail and how to remedy it. Very sad to learn of this and that Jeff is settling in well "upstairs."

How sad! Even though I haven't seen Jeff in many decades we were in the same home room. He always was kind,  funny and had a great smile. RIP my friend. My sympathies to his family.
